You're a marketer, whether you like it or not.

When you apply for a job, you're marketing.

When you're on a date, you're marketing.

When you sell a product or service, you are (obviously) marketing.

When you ask a friend to meet you for coffee, you're marketing.

When you ask to be the chairperson of your local knitting club, you're marketing.

So if you are not very good at marketing, consider brushing up on your skills.
