Say thank you, not sorry

January 24, 2019

When you feel that you're inconveniencing people, thank them, rather than apologizing.

"Thank you for waiting" rather than "sorry I'm late".

"Thank you for supporting me on my entrepreneurship journey" as opposed to "I'm sorry I've spent so much energy on my business lately". (This one's for you, girlfriend. ❤️)

"Thank you for putting up with my crankiness this morning" instead of "I'm sorry for being so horribly cranky". (This one's for you, too, girlfriend!)

You don't have anything to apologize for. So don't. And you do have something to thank people for. So do.

Yours,

— Peter
