Productivity for what?

We often forget that productivity is a means to an end. You don’t get points—here or in an afterlife—for having been the most productive.

In fact, if I were Chief Points-Giver, you’d get points for how happy you are. And for how much meaning and purpose there is to your life. But not for how much or how smart you worked.

That said, productivity can support happiness, meaning, and purpose. That does require knowing what makes you happy, what gives your life meaning, and what your purpose is.
