Personal Growth Requires These Two Things

June 19, 2022

Long-term personal development requires that you hold two seemingly contradictory beliefs:

  1. I am not as good at thing as I would like to be, so I need to practice to get better.
  2. I accept and love myself just the way I am right now. I don’t need things to be different to be happy.

If you don’t try to get better, you’ll never master the thing.

But if you don’t accept and love yourself the way you are, you’re holding onto negative energy that will slow you down or stop your growth entirely.

Which belief do you struggle with?
