How to ask someone to recommend you or your work

Sometimes you want people to say nice things about you.

It could be when you’re looking for your first job, when you want to switch jobs, or when you’re creating marketing materials for your business.

Whatever the case, you want someone to comment on how they found you or your work helpful.

Guide that person recommending you along with these questions:

  1. What was the obstacle that would have prevented you from [working with me/buying this product/buying this service]?
  2. What did you find as a result of [working with me/buying this product/buying this service]?
  3. What specific feature did you like most about [working with me/buying this product/buying this service]?
  4. What would be three other benefits of [working with me/buying this product/buying this service]?
  5. Would you recommend [working with me/buying this product/buying this service]? If so, why?
  6. Is there anything you’d like to add?

Just watch great recommendations come out.

Yours,

— Peter
