The other day, I was wondering why I was having a hard time building my audience on Instagram.
Put differently: how the bleep could I get more followers?
(Not that having a lot of followers is valuable an sich—but that’s a topic for another day.)
I had started using hash tags and I had thought a little about what to post. But for some reason, my efforts didn’t result in more followers. Yet I saw other people building their Instagram audiences relatively easily.
What was going on?
When I mentioned this problem to my girlfriend, she solved it in under five seconds.
She asked, “Peter, have you set your account to private?”
Sometimes, you just need an outside perspective.
P.S. I’m over at @peterakkies.
